SLAM Diego Wrestling Club is dedicated to providing high school wrestlers with a consistent, high-quality training environment during the offseason. Our Spring training season runs from March 10 through June 30, with a focus on Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, while continuing to emphasize fundamental techniques that translate across all styles of wrestling.
Our Fall season runs from September through November and will focus exclusively on Folkstyle wrestling to prepare athletes for the high school season.
Our mission is to bring together motivated athletes from across San Diego County to train, compete, and grow—helping them reach their full athletic potential while also developing discipline, confidence, and personal goals through the sport of wrestling. We are also committed to keeping training accessible by offering high-quality coaching at the lowest cost possible so that all motivated athletes have the opportunity to participate.
Athletes in 6th grade and above are welcome to join. No prior wrestling experience is required. All participants must obtain a USA Wrestling membership card in order to practice and compete.
Practices are held at San Diego High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00–5:30 PM at San Diego High School. Visit the location page for more information.
Parents and athletes are encouraged to join our Team Band group to receive updates, announcements, and communicate directly with coaches regarding questions or opportunities.
